The Rappers Who Really Didn't Want SMOKE With DMX

In a recent video, the legacy of DMX is examined through his various rap beefs and rivalries with artists like Ja Rule, K-Solo, and Jay-Z. The video discusses how DMX was known for never backing down from a challenge and how he commanded respect within the industry. It specifically highlights the long-standing feud with Ja Rule that lasted for a decade, as well as the tensions with K-Solo over the iconic Spellbound flow. Additionally, the video touches on the complicated relationship DMX had with Jay-Z, which included a desire from DMX to engage in a rap battle with him on Verzuz before his passing. The discussion raises the question of whether fear or respect was the reason behind the eventual squashing of beefs with DMX, a testament to his influential presence in hip hop, as well as the respect he earned from his peers.
